Central Oregon Cascades

The central Oregon Cascades, encompassing several volcanic peaks and wilderness areas, is an active outdoor person’s year round playground. In the late spring through early fall, hiking, biking, swimming, boating, canoeing, rafting, paddle boarding, fishing, horseback riding, rock climbing, rock hounding, golfing, camping and sightseeing are readily available……In the winter months there is skiing, both down hill and cross country, snow mobiling, snow boarding, snow shoeing, sled dog rides, ice skating, hunting and fishing. Any time of the year can make for some excellent photography…The town of Bend, Oregon, with a population of about 100,000, caters to all of these activities plus a variety of seasonal community based activities, fine restaurants, shopping, lodging, parks and entertainment. Just outside of Bend is ranching and farming, state and national parks and wilderness. There are few places which offer so much so close by…..
